MSA is an industrial safety technology company headquartered in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania. Founded in 1914 by John T. Ryan Sr. and George H. Deike, the company originally focused on mine-safety equipment and has since expanded into fire service, industrial manufacturing, utilities, construction, energy, and HVAC-R markets. MSA’s portfolio includes breathing apparatus, gas and flame detection systems, firefighter helmets, industrial PPE, and refrigerant monitoring technologies, including the Parasense Refrigerant Tracking and Compliance software.
