Institut Teknologi Petroleum PETRONAS (INSTEP)

Institut Teknologi Petroleum PETRONAS, or INSTEP, is a technical training and competency development institution operated by PETRONAS Technical Training Sdn Bhd. Established in 1981, INSTEP provides technical and experiential learning for workers in the energy industry and related sectors. Its programs cover areas such as process operations, maintenance, engineering, safety and emerging energy competencies. The institute says it has trained more than 156,000 technical workers and serves customers from more than 50 countries. INSTEP also develops training programs supporting decarbonization and energy transition workforce requirements.
