Government of Finland

The Government of Finland is the executive authority in Finland’s parliamentary republic, responsible for day-to-day administration and implementing laws. It is led by the Prime Minister (Suomen pääministeri), who heads the Cabinet (usually about 20 ministers across 12 ministries). The President of the Republic (Suomen tasavallan presidentti) serves as head of state, mainly in ceremonial and foreign-policy roles, and formally appoints the Prime Minister and ministers. Finland’s Government operates under the Constitution and directs national policies within this democratic framework.
