Government of Egypt

The Government of Egypt is the central executive authority responsible for national policy, economic development, and public administration in Egypt. It plays a leading role in shaping the country’s energy transition, climate strategy, and sustainable development agenda, including large-scale investments in renewable energy, grid infrastructure, and low-carbon industries. In the energy and climate domain, the government oversees electricity generation, transmission, and regulation, sets national renewable energy targets, and signs strategic agreements with international developers and investors. It is also a key actor in Egypt’s ambitions to become a regional hub for renewable electricity, green hydrogen, and energy exports linking Africa, the Middle East, and Europe.
