Frontier Climate

Frontier Climate is an advance market commitment designed to accelerate the development and deployment of permanent carbon removal technologies. Launched in 2022, Frontier initially committed $1 billion to carbon removal purchases by 2030 and expanded its total commitment to $1.8 billion in 2026. It aggregates corporate demand, evaluates carbon removal suppliers, and facilitates multi-year purchase agreements intended to provide developers with clearer long-term revenue. Its buyers include Stripe, Google, Shopify, Salesforce, H&M Group, McKinsey Sustainability, Workday and Anthropic. Frontier Climate, LLC and related Frontier entities are wholly owned indirect subsidiaries of Stripe Global Holdings.
