Climafin is a French climate finance technology company founded by Stefano Battiston, Antoine Mandel and Irene Monasterolo, academics specializing in sustainable finance, applied mathematics and climate-financial risk. Created from European research on climate-risk assessment, Climafin develops models, datasets and analytical tools that help financial institutions assess how climate change and transition policies can affect assets and portfolios. Its work covers climate scenario analysis, asset valuation, portfolio risk and macro-financial impacts, with particular expertise in implementing NGFS climate scenarios for financial-risk assessment.
