Summary
The ASEAN Infrastructure Fund is a regional infrastructure financing platform owned by ASEAN member states and the Asian Development Bank. It mobilizes regional resources and partner financing to support infrastructure that advances economic integration and sustainable development. ADB serves as its administrator. Its initiatives include the ASEAN Catalytic Green Finance Facility and the Regional Connectivity Fund for Energy in Southeast Asia, which supports the preparation of cross-border energy and transmission projects. The fund was established through a shareholders’ agreement in 2011 and formally incorporated in Malaysia in 2012.
