The Solar Grazing: Principles, Practices, and Partnerships workshop offers a unique opportunity to delve into sustainable land use practices that combine renewable energy with responsible livestock management. This two-and-a-half-day event is designed for farmers, ranchers, and agricultural professionals interested in innovative grazing techniques that enhance both productivity and environmental stewardship.

  • Rotational Grazing Demonstration: Experience hands-on demonstrations with the White Oak Pastures sheep herd.
  • Expert Panels: Hear from regenerative agriculture leaders, solar facility operators, and experienced solar grazers during insightful panel discussions.
  • Practical Insights: Gain knowledge on contract negotiation, capital expenditures, and infrastructure needs specific to solar grazing.

Additional Information

The workshop is limited to 16 participants, ensuring a personalized learning experience. All ticket purchases include farm-to-table meals from the White Oak Pastures Farmer's Table. Participants who complete the workshop will also be eligible for a digital badge from the American Solar Grazing Association (ASGA) and can be listed on the ASGA Solar Grazing Map.

For those traveling from afar, lodging options are available at White Oak Pastures, with a 20% discount for workshop attendees. The program begins at 1:30 PM on Day 1 and concludes around 3:00 PM on Day 3.
