Overview

As climate regulations tighten and expectations around carbon transparency continue to grow, Whole Life Cycle Assessment is becoming an increasingly important tool for the built environment sector. This IGBC Lunch & Learn examines how organizations can move beyond treating WLCA as a compliance exercise and instead use lifecycle thinking to identify carbon hotspots, improve project outcomes, and strengthen climate performance.

The session will introduce the fundamentals of WLCA, which evaluates a building's environmental impacts across its entire lifecycle, from material extraction and construction through operation, maintenance, and end-of-life. Participants will gain practical insights into how lifecycle assessment supports carbon-informed decision-making and responds to evolving regulatory and reporting requirements.

Registration

The webinar is free to attend and is open to professionals across the built environment, including architects, engineers, sustainability consultants, developers, construction product manufacturers, policymakers, and asset managers. Interested participants should visit the official IGBC event page for registration details and access information.
