Overview
Enlit Africa is one of the continent’s leading energy events, providing a platform for industry stakeholders to collaborate on the transformation of Africa’s energy and water systems. The conference explores the interconnected challenges of infrastructure investment, energy access, climate resilience and system modernisation.
The 2026 programme delivers a multi-stream conference with nine specialised tracks, supported by workshops, masterclasses and CPD-accredited sessions for engineering professionals. Discussions focus on policy reform, grid expansion, renewable integration, digitalisation, and the water–energy nexus, while the exhibition showcases emerging technologies and project solutions.
Alongside the main conference, Enlit Africa hosts other co-located forums—including Water Security Africa—designed to deepen dialogue on investment and infrastructure delivery across the continent.
Key Conference Themes
The programme spans strategic policy discussions, technical implementation and investment opportunities, including:
Policy, regulation and planning for Africa’s evolving electricity markets and infrastructure development.
Grid modernisation and transmission expansion, including solutions to address capacity bottlenecks.
Renewable energy integration and storage, exploring solar, wind and battery technologies supporting grid flexibility.
Digitalisation of power systems, including smart grids, AI-enabled operations and advanced analytics.
Water-energy nexus and climate resilience, highlighting coordinated planning between power and water infrastructure.
Investment and project development, with sessions focused on financing mechanisms, risk management and bankability.
