Core Features
Prima CarbonZero approaches decarbonization from the perspective of low-carbon commodity markets. ResourceWise produces commodity price assessments using defined specifications and trade hubs, with assessments informed by market transactions, bids and offers, and other relevant market information. Its features include:
Low-carbon pricing: Accesses current and historical prices, spot and futures information, and spreads across renewable fuels and feedstocks, including ethanol, biodiesel and renewable diesel markets.
Market analytics: Provides intelligence covering low-carbon fuel and feedstock markets, including international vegetable oils and circular-economy feedstocks.
Trade-flow analysis: Visualizes global trade volumes, origins, destinations and cross-regional flows to help users examine supply-and-demand movements.
Plants database: Maintains a filterable worldwide database of biofuel and HVO plants, including geography, products, feedstocks, capacity and production technology.
Policy and mandate tracking: Provides interactive maps and tables covering European and North American biofuel mandates and data on renewable fuel compliance instruments such as RIN credits.
Carbon Mitigator: Compares the costs and benefits associated with physical decarbonized fuel types and technologies, adding an economic dimension to transition planning.
Closing Insights
Prima CarbonZero emerged from Prima Markets, the biofuels research and price-reporting business founded by Matthew Stone in 2014 and subsequently acquired by ResourceWise. ResourceWise launched the platform in April 2023, transferring Prima’s low-carbon fuels and feedstocks intelligence into an interactive analytics environment. Its market-oriented focus distinguishes its purpose from conventional carbon accounting: users can examine the commercial conditions surrounding decarbonization rather than simply quantify emissions.
ResourceWise has continued expanding that underlying intelligence. A partnership with marine-fuel intelligence provider ENGINE introduced bio-bunker benchmarks for Los Angeles, Singapore and Rotterdam, extending CarbonZero into marine biofuels. The same year, ResourceWise announced platform improvements that simplified searching by region and industry. Its current methodology includes B24 and B30 bio-bunker assessments alongside numerous biofuel and feedstock benchmarks.
