Closing Insights
IngSoft InterWatt originated from software developed by electrical engineer Karsten Reese, who founded IngSoft GmbH in 1997 after creating an energy controlling application as his university diploma project. Over more than 25 years, the software has evolved from an energy management solution into a broader platform covering climate, environmental, and resource management while retaining its emphasis on operational energy efficiency and certified management systems. Today, it boasts over 20,000 users across sectors including manufacturing, commercial real estate, utilities, municipalities, healthcare, and higher education. Reference organizations include enercity, which uses the platform as part of its energy services business, Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich for campus energy management, and TÜV SÜD, which employs the software to support energy management and sustainability reporting.
The platform is presented in four editions—Light, Professional, Enterprise, and Enterprise CCF—allowing organizations to scale functionality according to their requirements. Subscription pricing starts at €2.49 per meter per month for the Light edition and extends to €3.99 per meter per month for Enterprise CCF, with optional modules such as Single Sign-On, CAFM integration, report design, branding, and field service available separately. The software supports both cloud and on-premises deployment, integrates with ERP and CAFM systems, and can be deployed as a multi-client or OEM solution for service providers.
IngSoft InterWatt holds a certificate of conformity confirming that it satisfies BAFA's requirements for energy management software, and is registered with BAFA as funding-eligible software.
