Deep dive
auverde is an Australian sustainability and climate advisory firm that helps organizations prepare for mandatory climate disclosures and integrate sustainability into business strategy. Founded in 2024 by Dr Ina Eileen Peukes, who holds a PhD in Environmental Impact Assessment, the consultancy supports clients across Australia, Europe, and Asia with services including carbon accounting, Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions inventories, climate risk assessment, ESG reporting, net zero planning, mandatory climate reporting, science-based target setting, carbon footprinting, decarbonization planning, and sustainability strategy. The consultancy prepares emissions baselines, data quality assessments and assurance-ready documentation to support credible reporting and decision-making.
For organizations preparing for Australian and international climate disclosure requirements, auverde provides AASB S2 and IFRS S2 readiness assessments, climate risk and opportunity assessments, scenario analysis, governance support, transition planning and climate-related financial disclosure development. auverde also supports Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) target setting and develops practical net zero and decarbonization pathways that translate emissions data into measurable actions.
Its technical services include life cycle assessment (LCA) and product carbon footprinting, helping organizations understand and reduce the environmental impacts of products, materials, manufacturing processes and supply chains. This work is led by Dr Peukes, whose expertise includes the development and application of LCA methodologies, particularly in the built environment.
Beyond these areas, auverde provides ongoing strategic sustainability support, including Fractional Chief Sustainability Officer services. This gives organizations access to senior technical and strategic expertise as they strengthen internal capability, respond to reporting requirements and implement practical climate and sustainability initiatives.
