XPRIZE

XPRIZE is a nonprofit organization that designs and manages large-scale incentive competitions intended to accelerate technological innovation in areas including climate, energy, health, food, water and exploration. The organization began in 1994 and later launched its first major competition, the Ansari XPRIZE, for private spaceflight. Its climate programs have included the $100 million XPRIZE Carbon Removal competition, which supported technologies capable of removing and durably storing atmospheric or oceanic carbon dioxide.
