WWF Uganda

WWF Uganda is the Ugandan country office of the World Wide Fund for Nature, working on biodiversity conservation, climate resilience, ecosystem restoration, and sustainable natural resource management. Its activities include protecting forests and wildlife habitats, supporting communities living near conservation areas, restoring degraded landscapes and promoting approaches that combine environmental protection with sustainable livelihoods. WWF Uganda works with government agencies, communities, businesses and international partners on conservation programs across the country. In partnership with VELUX and Uganda's National Forestry Authority, it is involved in forest restoration and carbon conservation work in the Albertine Rift, including activities across several Central Forest Reserves designed to increase forest carbon stocks, protect biodiversity and strengthen ecological connectivity.
