Verpact

Verpact is a Dutch non-profit producer responsibility organisation (PRO) responsible for implementing extended producer responsibility (EPR) for packaging on behalf of producers and importers. It builds on the Stichting Afvalfonds Verpakkingen, established in 2013 to collectively fulfil legal obligations under Dutch packaging regulations, and was restructured and renamed Verpact in 2024 following the merger of several implementation bodies. It represents companies placing packaged goods on the Dutch market and operates within a regulated framework, coordinating and financing the collection, sorting, and recycling of packaging waste, including deposit systems and reporting against national targets.
