Tongao Greenchar is a Chinese carbon removal project developer established by Tongao Group and Singapore-based Greenchar Climate Solutions to develop, operate and scale biochar carbon dioxide removal projects. The company combines Tongao Group's biomass collection, carbonisation and agricultural infrastructure with Greenchar's expertise in carbon markets, monitoring, reporting and verification, certification and international credit commercialization. Its projects convert responsibly sourced agricultural and forestry residues into durable biochar that can be applied to soils or incorporated into biochar-based fertilizers. Tongao Greenchar is developing systems covering the complete project chain, from biomass sourcing and production to traceability, MRV, certification and long-term monitoring.
