SUSAKO

SUSAKO, the Sustainable Art Women’s Cooperative, is based in İzmit, Türkiye. The cooperative brings together artistic production, material reuse, and women’s participation in economic and cultural life. Its activities include turning industrial waste into artworks and organising creative workshops. It has also collaborated on projects connecting digital art with sustainability. In the DP World initiative, SUSAKO is involved in public workshops where recovered fishing-net plastic will be used to make jewellery, extending the project’s educational and community activities beyond eyewear production.
