South Korea Ministry of Trade, Industry and Resources

The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Resources, or MOTIR, is a central government ministry of the Republic of Korea responsible for industrial policy, trade, investment, energy, and the competitiveness of the country's manufacturing economy. The ministry develops and implements policies affecting major sectors including chemicals, automotive manufacturing, energy and advanced industries. It has played a central role in South Korea's petrochemical restructuring program, including the restructuring of LOTTE Chemical and HD Hyundai's Daesan operations.
