Seattle Office of Sustainability & Environment (OSE) is the City of Seattle's lead agency for climate action, environmental justice, and sustainability policy. Established in 2000, the office works across municipal departments and with community organizations to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, improve climate resilience, and ensure that environmental benefits are shared equitably. Its work spans building decarbonization, transportation, urban forestry, healthy food systems, climate justice, and implementation of Seattle's Climate Action Plan. The office is currently led by Director Lylianna Allala, who previously served as Seattle's first Climate Justice Director.
