Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi)

The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) is a global corporate climate action organisation established in 2015 through a collaboration between CDP, the United Nations Global Compact, the World Resources Institute (WRI), and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). It operates as a UK-registered charity with a subsidiary, SBTi Services, providing target validation services. The initiative develops standards, tools, and guidance to help companies and financial institutions set greenhouse gas reduction targets aligned with climate science and the Paris Agreement. Its Corporate Net-Zero Standard is one of its core frameworks.
