Sarasin & Partners is a London-based asset manager specialising in global thematic investment and stewardship. The firm began in 1983 as Sarasin Investment Management and has origins in the J. Safra Sarasin private banking group. It became Sarasin Chiswell after acquiring Chiswell Associates in 2004 and converted to a partnership structure in 2007. Its relevance to the clean energy accounting debate comes from the investor perspective, as asset managers increasingly assess whether corporate climate claims, Scope 2 reporting and renewable electricity strategies reflect credible emissions reductions.
