Center for Climate-Aligned Finance

RMI’s Center for Climate-Aligned Finance is an initiative launched in 2020 by the Rocky Mountain Institute, a non-profit focused on accelerating the energy transition. It works with major financial institutions, corporates, and policymakers to align global capital flows with a 1.5°C pathway under the Paris Agreement. The Center develops sector-specific decarbonisation agreements, analytical frameworks, and practical tools that support banks, insurers, and investors in integrating climate considerations into lending and investment decisions. Its work includes partnerships with large global banks and initiatives such as the IMPACT+ Principles, which guide climate-aligned financial strategies.
