Resources for the Future (RFF)

Resources for the Future (RFF) is an independent, nonprofit research institution founded to improve decisions about the environment, energy, and natural resources through rigorous, impartial economic research and policy engagement. RFF was the first U.S. think tank devoted exclusively to environmental and natural resource issues, and it has played a significant role in developing the field of environmental economics and informing national and international policy debates. Its research spans topics such as climate change, energy policy, resource management, pollution control, and the social cost of carbon, and its outputs—including peer-reviewed reports, policy briefs, a magazine (Resources), and a podcast (Resources Radio)—are widely used by policymakers, academics, business leaders, and the media.
