ReNew is an India-focused renewable energy and decarbonization company founded by Sumant Sinha in 2011. It develops, owns, and operates utility-scale solar, wind, hydropower, energy storage and firm renewable power projects, while also expanding into solar photovoltaic manufacturing, green hydrogen and corporate decarbonization services. ReNew is one of India’s largest renewable independent power producers and operates more than 150 renewable energy sites. The group is publicly listed on Nasdaq through ReNew Energy Global plc, a company incorporated in England and Wales, while its principal Indian operations are headquartered in Gurugram, Haryana. Its activities support India’s expansion of non-fossil electricity capacity and the wider transition toward lower-carbon power.
