Relae is an energy and climate advisory company formerly known as Carbon Direct. It brings together expertise in science, engineering, markets, and policy to support decisions involving power, environmental markets, natural capital, and climate strategy. The company announced its new name on September 21, 2026. Under the Carbon Direct name, it worked with Microsoft on environmental attribute certificate criteria for concrete and steel. Carbon Direct Capital is a separate investment business and should not be treated as an alternative name for Relae.
