Planet Labs PBC is a U.S.-based Earth observation company that operates one of the world's largest fleets of imaging satellites. The company provides high-frequency geospatial data and analytics for applications including agriculture, forestry, climate monitoring, biodiversity, disaster response and national security. Former NASA scientists founded Planet, and it became a publicly traded public benefit corporation in 2021. In the Amazon.ia initiative, Planet provides satellite imagery and geospatial capabilities that can be combined with field-based biodiversity observations and artificial intelligence.
