Summary

Partnership for Carbon Transparency (PACT) is a global initiative hosted by the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) that creates standardized methods and technical infrastructure for calculating and exchanging product-level carbon emissions data across supply chains. Launched in 2020, PACT focuses on enabling consistent and comparable product carbon footprints (PCFs) using primary data, with interoperable data models and exchange protocols adopted by software platforms and companies worldwide. It develops the PACT Methodology and supports implementation through a growing ecosystem of industry partners, aiming to improve transparency in Scope 3 emissions reporting and collaboration across value chains.
