Open Earth Foundation (OpenEarth)

Open Earth Foundation (OpenEarth) is a California-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2020 by Martin Wainstein. It develops and deploys open-source digital infrastructure intended to improve climate data, accounting and action. Its projects include CityCatalyst, an AI-assisted platform that helps cities and regional governments build GHG inventories, assess climate risks, prioritize interventions and develop finance-ready projects. OpenEarth also operates OpenClimate, an integrated climate accounting initiative, and develops open carbon-pricing tools.
