NIS Cooperation Group

The NIS Cooperation Group is a European cybersecurity coordination body established under the EU Network and Information Systems Directive. It began operating in 2017 and brings together representatives of EU Member States, the European Commission, and the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA). The group supports strategic cooperation, information exchange and coordinated approaches to cybersecurity across the European Union. Its work includes guidance on network security, cybersecurity incidents, critical infrastructure, 5G and ICT supply chain risks. The European Commission provides the group's secretariat, while the Member State holding the rotating Presidency of the Council of the EU chairs its meetings.
