Ministry of Finance and Public Credit (SHCP)

The Secretariat of Finance and Public Credit (Secretaría de Hacienda y Crédito Público, SHCP) is Mexico’s federal ministry in charge of fiscal policy, taxation, federal budget management, and public debt. It oversees macroeconomic planning, financial system coordination, and public revenue administration. SHCP plays a central role in sustainable finance frameworks, green bond issuance, and fiscal policy related to climate and energy transition.
