Low Carbon Contracts Company (LCCC)

The Low Carbon Contracts Company, or LCCC, is the government-owned company that acts as the contractual counterparty for the UK Contracts for Difference scheme. It manages CfD contracts with low-carbon electricity generators and administers payments based on the difference between each project’s strike price and the relevant market reference price. LCCC states that it currently manages 567 CfD contracts.
