LESS aisbl (Association Internationale Sans But Lucratif)

Founded in 2024, LESS aisbl is a Brussels-based non-profit organisation responsible for developing and administering the Low Emission Steel Standard (LESS). The association was created to provide a common European framework for certifying and labelling low-emission and near-zero-emission steel products. Its members include steel producers, industry associations, and other stakeholders from across the steel value chain. Through the LESS standard, the organisation seeks to improve transparency around steel-related emissions and support the development of markets for lower-carbon steel products.
