Kairos Power

Kairos Power is a US nuclear technology, engineering, and manufacturing company developing the KP-FHR, a fluoride salt-cooled high-temperature reactor. Its technology uses TRISO pebble fuel and a molten fluoride salt coolant known as Flibe. The company follows an iterative development model involving non-nuclear testing, demonstration reactors, and vertically integrated manufacturing. Kairos Power is constructing the Hermes demonstration reactor series in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, while developing manufacturing capabilities in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It has also agreed with Google to support the deployment of up to 500 MW of advanced nuclear generation.
