International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is an intergovernmental organization within the United Nations system that works to promote the peaceful use of nuclear energy while preventing its use for military purposes. It sets international nuclear safety standards, conducts inspections and safeguards, supports nuclear security, and provides technical cooperation to member states in areas including energy, health, agriculture and environmental protection.
