Government of Finland

The Government of Finland is the national executive authority of the Republic of Finland, responsible for implementing laws, managing public administration, and coordinating national policies across sectors, including environment, education, economy, and foreign affairs. It operates under a parliamentary democracy led by the Prime Minister and composed of ministries that execute the government’s agenda. Finland is widely recognised for its transparent governance, strong social welfare system, and progressive climate and sustainability policies. Through its Ministry of the Environment and Ministry for Foreign Affairs, the government plays a leading role in advancing circular economy initiatives, renewable energy, and carbon neutrality goals targeted for 2035.
