Food and Drink Federation (FDF)

The Food and Drink Federation (FDF) is the main membership organisation representing food and drink manufacturers in the United Kingdom. It works with companies, policymakers and regulators across areas including environmental sustainability, packaging, trade, food safety, energy, skills and economic policy. The organisation represents businesses ranging from smaller manufacturers to major international brands and provides regulatory guidance, industry data, advocacy and technical expertise. Sustainability is a significant part of its work, including packaging and waste regulation, decarbonisation, resource efficiency and the transition towards lower-impact manufacturing. The FDF also helps businesses understand changing UK and European legislation, including packaging Extended Producer Responsibility and the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation.
