European Network of Transmission System Operators (ENTSO-E)

ENTSO-E, the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity, is the Brussels-based association representing Europe’s electricity transmission system operators. Its mission is to help ensure the security of the interconnected European power system while supporting market integration, grid development, system operation, renewable energy integration, and EU energy policy implementation. ENTSO-E coordinates cooperation between transmission system operators across Europe, develops network codes, publishes system and market data, and contributes to planning for a more secure, flexible, and decarbonized electricity system. It operates on a non-profit basis and plays a central role in Europe’s energy transition, particularly as power grids adapt to higher shares of renewable electricity, electrification, and cross-border energy flows.
