European Banking Authority (EBA)

The European Banking Authority (EBA) is an independent agency of the European Union responsible for promoting consistent banking regulation and supervisory practices across the EU. Established in 2011 as part of the European System of Financial Supervision, the EBA develops regulatory technical standards, guidelines, and risk-assessment frameworks for banks and other financial institutions. Headquartered in Paris, it works with national regulators, the European Central Bank, and other European Supervisory Authorities to support financial stability, market integrity, and consumer protection.
