Summary
EUROCONTROL, formally the European Organisation for the Safety of Air Navigation, is an intergovernmental, civil-military organization. It supports European aviation through air traffic management coordination, network operations, research, data, training and technical expertise. EUROCONTROL serves 42 Member States and two Comprehensive Agreement States, working with airlines, airports, air navigation service providers, governments and military stakeholders. As Network Manager, it coordinates the European aviation network, while its Maastricht center provides cross-border air traffic control services. Its environmental work includes aviation emissions modelling, operational efficiency, and support facilities for EU ETS and ICAO CORSIA reporting.
