ESG Data Convergence Initiative (EDCI)

The ESG Data Convergence Initiative (EDCI) is a global, industry-led initiative launched in 2021 to standardize sustainability reporting across private markets, including private equity, infrastructure, and private credit. It defines a common set of sustainability metrics drawn from established standards to improve the consistency and comparability of data reported by general partners (GPs) to limited partners (LPs). The initiative is governed by an industry Steering Committee, with the Institutional Limited Partners Association (ILPA) serving as Secretariat and Boston Consulting Group (BCG) administering benchmarking and annual data aggregation.
