Cyber and Infrastructure Security Centre (CISC)

The Cyber and Infrastructure Security Centre, often referred to as CISC, is part of the Australian Government Department of Home Affairs. It supports the security, continuity and resilience of Australia’s critical infrastructure by working with asset owners, operators, regulators, governments and industry partners. Its work is especially relevant to sectors such as water, energy, transport, communications, health, food, data storage and financial services. CISC helps organisations understand risk, meet regulatory obligations and improve resilience against cyber, physical, supply chain and operational threats. For water utilities, its role is important because water and sewerage assets are covered by Australia’s critical infrastructure framework.
