Crown Estate Scotland

Crown Estate Scotland is a self-financing public corporation responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of land, property and natural resources on behalf of the Scottish public. Its portfolio includes seabed rights, rural estates, foreshore areas, commercial property and rights connected to renewable energy, aquaculture and other marine activities. The organization plays a central role in Scotland’s offshore wind sector by leasing areas of seabed for project development. It manages the ScotWind programme, which awarded development rights for large-scale fixed and floating offshore wind projects in Scottish waters. Crown Estate Scotland also monitors developers’ supply chain commitments and publishes information intended to help ports, manufacturers, investors and service providers prepare for future demand.
