Cognite is an industrial software and artificial intelligence company that helps asset-intensive businesses organise, contextualise and use operational data. Its flagship Cognite Data Fusion platform connects engineering, operational and enterprise data, while its Atlas AI capabilities support generative and agentic AI applications for industrial workflows. Cognite serves sectors including energy, process manufacturing and other heavy industries where fragmented operational data can limit automation and decision-making. On 30 June 2026, Schneider Electric announced a definitive agreement to acquire 100% of Cognite in an all-cash transaction valued at US$3.1 billion. Subject to regulatory approvals and other closing conditions, Cognite is expected to be integrated with AVEVA within Schneider Electric's Industrial Automation business.
