China National Energy Administration (NEA)

The National Energy Administration (NEA) is a government agency of the People’s Republic of China responsible for developing and implementing national energy policy. It oversees energy planning, regulation, and sector development across electricity, coal, oil, natural gas, renewable energy, and nuclear power. The NEA plays a central role in China’s energy transition strategy, coordinating policies to expand renewable energy, strengthen grid infrastructure, and support long-term carbon neutrality goals.
