The Carbon Accounting Alliance (CAA) is a global not-for-profit membership organisation established in 2022 to improve consistency, transparency, and professionalism in carbon accounting. Founded by industry participants including Planet Mark and ClimatePartner, the alliance brings together software providers, consultancies, auditors, certifying bodies, in-house sustainability professionals, and independent practitioners involved in greenhouse gas measurement and reporting. CAA focuses on technical alignment, professional qualifications, policy engagement, and the interpretation of carbon accounting standards.
