Canada Green Building Council (CAGBC)

The Canada Green Building Council (CAGBC) is a national, industry-led non-profit organization founded in 2002 to advance green building across Canada. It works with the real estate, construction and building sectors through certification, professional education, research and policy advocacy. CAGBC administers LEED certification in Canada and develops the Zero Carbon Building Standards, supporting organizations seeking to reduce building emissions and verify environmental performance. The council has around 670 corporate members and 11,150 individual members and is headquartered in Ottawa. Thomas Mueller, a founding director, has served as President and CEO since 2005.
