Burning Glass Institute

The Burning Glass Institute is a US nonprofit research organisation focused on employment, skills and the future of work. It uses labour market data and workforce research to examine how employers, educators and policymakers can improve economic mobility, recruitment and access to career opportunities. Founded in 2021, the institute works with companies, education providers and public-sector organisations to identify changing skills requirements and develop evidence-based workforce strategies. In the Alliance for America’s Skilled Trades, it is supporting research into training gaps, labour demand and workforce development models that could help expand the pipeline of qualified tradespeople.
