Bangladesh Department of Environment (DoE)

The Department of Environment (DoE) is Bangladesh’s national environmental enforcement agency under the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change. It administers environmental regulation, pollution control and compliance under legislation including the Bangladesh Environment Conservation Act. Under the 2026 plastic EPR guidelines, the DoE is responsible for identifying obligated entities, registration, inspections, audits, information verification and enforcement of producer responsibility requirements.
