Australian Department of Industry, Science and Resources

The Australian Department of Industry, Science and Resources is a federal government department responsible for supporting industrial competitiveness, science and technology, innovation and Australia’s resources sector. Its work includes industrial policy, critical minerals, supply chain resilience, artificial intelligence, standards, commercialization and resource development. The department also supports policies connected to Australia’s transition to a net zero economy and the Future Made in Australia agenda. The current department was established in July 2022 following changes to federal government administrative arrangements.
